The P1E6 monoclonal antibody was generated against human HT1080 fibrosarcoma cells. This antibody is directed against the α2 subunit and will precipitate a complex containing α2, including α2β1 integrin and neutralizes binding to collagen. |
| Uses | |
This antibody is effective in blocking adhesion cells to collagen coated surfaces. P1E6 immunoprecipitates the α2 subunit (reducing) or α2 complexed with β1 from surface labeled cell lysates (non-reducing). In imunofluorescence (IF), this antibody can be used to detect α2 in collagen dependent focal adhesions. |

The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition.

| Storage | |
Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody. For long-term storage, keep the antibody at -80°C. |
